Our annual publication deadline for the Summerfest flyer is May 1st.  

Any events submitted after this date will be added to the Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce Community Calendar under "Summerfest 2027 Events." We will add them as time allows before the event date.

A Friendly Reminder About Summerfest Event Submissions

The Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to serve as the community convener for Summerfest. Each year, we work alongside the City of Hermantown and many wonderful community organizations to bring together one calendar of events that helps residents and visitors enjoy the best week of summer.

What many people don't realize is that the Chamber coordinates this project as a community service. We do not receive funding to produce the Summerfest schedule. Our team designs, prints, and distributes the annual brochure, maintains the website and Facebook page, and works to keep information as accurate as possible.

To make that possible, every year, we ask every organization to submit its event information by May 1 each year. That deadline has been communicated publicly through our website, social media, and annual outreach.

After May 1, we begin designing, proofing, printing, and distributing materials. Once that process is underway, adding new events or making changes becomes increasingly difficult—and in many cases, impossible. Each year we receive dozens of emails and phone calls requesting additions, corrections, and schedule changes after the deadline. While we always try to help when we can, we simply cannot guarantee that late submissions or revisions will appear in our printed or digital publications.

If your event was submitted after May 1 or if changes were requested after materials were already in production, we appreciate your understanding. Our goal is to treat every organization fairly by following the same deadline for everyone.

Please help us make next year's planning process smoother by marking May 1 on your calendar now. Submitting your information on time gives your event the best opportunity to be promoted accurately across all Summerfest communications and allows our small team to spend its time promoting our community rather than chasing last-minute revisions.
