Our Story

2010: Designer Maureen Plaunt founded Maureen’s LLC as a small home-based “design delivered” business after recognizing a growing need for functional, beautiful and accessible interior design services in the Northland.

2016: Maureen’s quickly grew its following and customer base, reaching max capacity in 2016 and leading Maureen to move into a brick-and-mortar showroom in the heart of West Duluth with her expanded team of design experts.

2024: Maureen announced her retirement—though her love for design will never really retire—and passed the ownership reins to construction and architecture expert John Bodine in January 2024. Sparked by new leadership, Maureen’s got a remodel of its own, introducing a fresh name of Maureen + Associates alongside a new logo and visual presence—reaffirming our commitment to delivering design excellence to homeowners in the Northland.
