Thursday, August 20, 2026 (4:00 PM - 5:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
Watershed walks are a chance to explore Keene Creek firsthand and learn how the creek connects to nearby neighborhoods, parks, trails, and natural areas. These guided walks will highlight stream conditions, flooding, habitat, stormwater, and restoration opportunities while providing space to share observations and ideas along the way.
Each walk will focus on a different part of the watershed and a unique topic related to the health and resilience of Keene Creek.
The walks will follow accessible trails and community spaces near the creek. No in-stream access, hiking experience, or technical background is required. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, share local knowledge, and help identify opportunities and challenges throughout the watershed.
