Essentia Health will host a symposium in Duluth on Oct. 19 for survivors of heart failure, family and friends of heart failure, as well as interested community members. Learn about living with disease, tips, and techniques to improve quality of life as well as planning for the future.

This free event, which starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m., will be held at Northland Country Club in Duluth. A heart-healthy lunch will be provided.

Funded by the Heltne Foundation, the symposium will feature Essentia cardiology physicians and health care providers. Special information will be shared about Essentia's Heart Failure Program, in which providers collaborate and communicate with the patient's primary care provider.
