Seeking extra people power to help tackle needs in your community? If so, AmeriCorps NCCC may be a helpful resource to tap into. AmeriCorps NCCC partners with organizations that design a project to address an identified community need. They then send a team of 8-12 young adults to be the people power behind it by living and serving in the community for multiple weeks.
NCCC teams help construct affordable housing, improve natural resources, expand trail systems, assist with food insecurity, facilitate programming, aid in disaster preparation/mitigation/response/recovery, and much, much, more.

AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC), a program of AmeriCorps, strengthens communities and develops leaders through a full-time, team-based, residential national service program. NCCC partners with nonprofit organizations and federal/tribal/state/local governmental agencies to complete projects typically lasting 3-8 weeks which address a compelling community need. There is no charge and teams provide their own transportation, however NCCC requests partners provide a place for the team to sleep and shower along with assistance with food or kitchen facilities to cook on.
